Being a Freehouse allows us to use any Brewery we wish, we currently use Greene King and for our Cask Ales we use Brentwood Brewery. This relationship we have continues to give us a good range of beers and allows us to support a local brewery as well.
The Alma Arms is now the last remaining pub in Navestock. We are just 10 minutes drive from Brentwood and Gallows Corner, Romford , surrounded by two popular Golf courses as well as the 4600 acres of stunning Navestock rural countryside
Our Steak and Stilton Pie won a Bronze award at the 2022 British Pie Awards in the category for Steak and Cheese Pies

A delightful old style pub with great food and amazing portion size, four of us went and had two courses and a drink each, and it worked out about £20 each
Really lovely food (even the treacle pudding and custard were homemade). And the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be going again.
DSeemed like a very traditional venue, not part of a chain. We had a great meal, and we shared a veggie platter to start. I had a mega steak pie, which was wonderful. It was mega because the pie was a double portion. My wife had sweet potato tart, which she enjoyed. The portions were good and had no room for desserts.
Visited recently for the first time in over 40 years. Still has its charm and atmosphere. Now serves food, which is very good, particularly the steak & Stilton pie!
